Kristina L Palmer is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, specializing in Addictions, Eating Disorders, Trauma and EMDR, and Anxiety. She provides individual therapy, and maintains a private practice in Meridian, Idaho.
With over 15 years experience as a Mental Health Therapist, and as a graduate of Capella University, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Prior to becoming a counselor, Kristina worked for the Juvenile Court System as a Probation Officer and a Probation Supervisor. Kristina was also adjunct faculty in the Psychology Department of Boise State University from 2004 until 2010. She is a registered Clinical Supervisor with the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses as well as a Qualified Substance Use Disorders Professional and Qualified Substance Use Disorders Clinical Supervisor with the Department of Health and Welfare.
Kristina uses a variety of techniques in therapy, depending on the client and presenting issue, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Narrative therapy, client centered therapy, relaxation, exposure therapy and desensitization. She will discuss the risks and benefits of any technique before starting to ensure you are comfortable.
